Unleash your inner animal during March Break at the Norfolk Arts Centre

Friday, January 27th, 2012

Join local artists Julia Tiller and Belinda Smith to “GO WILD” and discover the animal inside of you. Let your inner animal shine through while creating stunning 2D and 3D wildlife projects.

Do you ever feel like there’s an animal inside of you just scratching to get out? Can you hear the growls and cries so clearly that you think everyone else can hear them too? Do you know what animal is inside of you? Join Belinda to let your inner animal come out through your art. Children will create 2D mixed media works of art to transform themselves into their inner animals.

With Julia, children will study the lives of animals in their natural environments, in Norfolk County and beyond. Focusing on sculpture while using natural tools as inspirations, children will create a diorama of a natural wildlife environment, Artist Trading Cards, butterfly nurseries and folded paper origami animals.

Complemented with activities such as animal charades and other fun games, participants will enjoy spending a week on the wild side at the Norfolk Arts Centre. Big or small, furry or covered in scales, your animal instincts will love this creative week!

The Norfolk Arts Centre’s March Break programs fill up quickly. Registration is held on a first-come, first-served basis, and children are registered with payment only.
